I’ve (kind of) been keeping a secret. For the past 10 months there’s been quiet construction happening in the backyard of the studio. It’s a project that has lived in my head for years, but has now FINALLY made it into the real world. Let me introduce you to the Carriage House...

This is an additional shooting space outside the studio that will always be dressed to the nines and ready to tell unique stories. It’s perfect for every type of session I offer: maternity, seniors, milestones, and yes even newborns. My special (and rare) mini session events will also be frequently held here.

So many elements in the Carriage House tell stories. The gorgeous arched double doors once adorned the family home of a dear client. The decorative beams are made from the wood of my great-aunt's front porch. That couch? It survived Hurricane Katrina and has been dyed at least 3 different colors. I could go on and on...


This project has been a real labor of love. I can’t thank my husband, parents, and best friend enough for all their help. We built it completely by ourselves with lots of blood, sweat, and tears. It was a journey for sure! Here's a little glimpse behind the scenes along the way...
